The Learning Way
The Learning Way is a place that focuses on the well-being and its educational prosperity of each child. We believe each child is unique, important and special. We understand that providing a nurturing, safe and structured environment, with an interactive educational curriculum is essential for each child to strive.
At the Learning Way Child Care our goal is to address each child's needs in order to expand their educational and emotional development. We strive to accomplish these goals by:
-
Offering a stimulating and caring atmosphere
-
Promoting partnership between parents and caregivers so we may foster a continuum between home and school
-
Encouraging development of interpersonal relationships with classmates and adults
-
Developing a positive self-image and a greater ability to interact with the world with confidence
-
Helping them to understand their behavior and feelings
-
Providing an emphasis on enrichment programs, a child's cognitive development, large and fine motor activities, health and fitness, sensory activities, life skills and vital cognitive content areas such as art, language, literacy, science, math, and technology.
Our Mission
It is our mission to acknowledge your child's strong sense of self-image, individuality, and purpose.
In addition, focusing on Respect, Opportunities, Creativity, and Knowledge through interactive Learning.

Milagros Vicente is a lifelong community activist who advocates on behalf of the most vulnerable in her community. She founded The Learning Way Child Care in 2015 to continue her work with children in the community. Her interest and love for children stem from being a parent of three children and her community work.
Her advocacy work started over thirty-two years ago when her eldest son, was diagnosed at birth with Cerebral Palsy and hydrocephalus. As Milagros took on the role of parenting a child with special needs, she advocated for her son and was inspired to advocate on behalf of all individuals with special needs.

She is a Girl Scouts Leader for 10 years. Her troop focuses in organizing many community service activities, self-awareness, compassion, and making the world a better place.
